Forgeron Cellars

Blending an Old World perspective with the pioneering spirit of Walla Walla, we create substantial wines of eloquent American character - with just a hint of French accent!

Forgeron is the French word for blacksmith as our Winery and Walla Walla Tasting Room is located on the former site of a blacksmith shop. Buried in the foundation, for good luck, are hundreds of horseshoes unearthed during construction. In French, the word "Forgeron" also refers to artisans who build with their hands combining experience with an extensive knowledge of their trade.

"The wines are outstanding across the board..." Jeb Dunnuck, The Wine Advocate, June 2013

Forgeron Cellars was founded in 2001 in Walla Walla. Our family includes a number of members who have been involved in the wine industry, mostly in the Walla Walla Valley, since 1989. Forgeron was built on passion, dedication, and a long-term commitment to a rapidly growing industry in the Walla Walla Valley. We produce wines from around Washington State based on our relationships with reputable growers and sites with consistent quality and production.

To craft complex, food-friendly wines from vineyards chosen for maturity and flavor profile.

Forgeron Cellars contracts with vineyards strategically located throughout the large Columbia Valley appellation and smaller appellations within. Our focus: reflect the quality of grapes from the best sites to reveal the full potential of Washington State vineyards.
